Odsal NHS Chase final! 31.5.2021

Bradford.

left for Bradford at 10.30am and got there by 2pm. We parked in the overflow pit area and started getting ready, no engines until an hour before the meeting so spent time walking around to check out the venue. Drivers briefing and we were told our do's and don'ts then it is time for the parade for the NHS rainbow roof final, Sue drove round perfectly to show the driver how it is all done 4th row outside grid position and after a few laps we are up to 4th and going well then the incidents started, after the water was thrown onto the track coming out of bend 2 it was a hasty trip into the wall with goggles swinging around and a shock to the system kept going and decided to hit the wall on at least 2 more occasions, car was damaged with track arm bent and driver having muck in his eye but we finished the first race at Bradford for over 20years and the 415 teams first race ever at Bradford. Onto the consolation and a good start with the yellows coming out for a big pile up we started in 4th place on the re start, soon up to first and thought everything was going well until driver error struck again, a spin on bend 1 and 2 saw the lead lost and then with a real effort to make up spaces a hard trip to the fence to finish the evening for the team. King pin snapped clean in 2 and driver a little sore. 2 bent outside rear wheels and bumper damage to add to the damage of the front axle.
